Schooner and Dinner at the charming village of Dragoer          back

With its enormous costal line sailing has always been very popular in Denmark. In the old days sailing was an important part of living in Denmark with its many islands - in trade or in war. Nowadays, sailing has become a mean of transport or, in deed, a sport which is extremely popular with many Danes. But a small fleet from the old days has been maintained and this is an invitation for you to become a part of a proud sailing tradition dating back many centuries. We have the pleasure of offering you to charter an old Galion, for you to enjoy a relaxing day towards the charming, old fishing Village Dragoer. Once on board you shall be greeted by the friendly Danish Captain and his Crew starting this event with a welcome drink. As the galleon sails out of Copenhagen harbour the captain is behind the steering wheel - but those who wish may help setting sails, and sailing the proud old ship. As a special touch we can arrange for an accordion player to join you onboard the galleon for entertainment - to create an atmosphere a bit like the old days with sailors' songs and other merry tunes.
